County and pop superstar Kenny Rogers was inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame Tuesday, the day before his farewell concert in Nashville.
The music icon was inducted ahead of his "All In For The Gambler: Kenny Rogers' Farewell Celebration" at Bridgestone Arena. Rogers' star marks the 80th on the Music City Walk of Fame.
“Kenny Rogers is one of the best storytellers in country music history, with one of the sweetest and most soulful voices,” Mayor Megan Barry said. “I’m so glad he’ll be able to join all the other amazing artists on the Music City Walk of Fame before he retires after nearly 60 years of making beautiful music.”
Tickets are on sale for Rogers' farewell concert. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation and the Kenny Roger's Children's Center.
